Justin Bieber is rocking again with a wide grin! The singer shared an update on her facial mobility on Wednesday (March 15). Bieber looks into the camera frame while Tems Ice T played in the background. Captioned, “wait for it,” Justin showed movement in his eyebrows and eyes before zooming in on his improved smile.
Last summer, Justin revealed his face temporarily paralyzed after a diagnosis with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Bieber shared his health status after fans complained online about canceled tour dates. In a video posted on social media, Bieber said the condition, a severe virus, affected the right side of his face– forcing a half-smile.

“As you can see, this eye does not blink,” he said in June 2022. “I cannot smile on the side of my face. This nostril does not move, so there is complete paralysis in this part of my face. So those who are disappointed with my cancellations in the next shows, I’m just physically obviously not capable to do them. It’s quite serious as you can see. I hope it didn’t happen like this.”
Justin warned fans last year that it was only a matter of time before his facial movement returned. He mentioned that facial exercises are part of his recovery process.
“It’s just a matter of time, and we don’t know how long, but it will be okay. And I have hope, and I trust God, and I trust that it’s all for a reason,” Justin said in the 2022 video.
About three months later, in September, Justin decided to cancel the rest of the his world tour to continue his recovery.
He delivered the news by saying:
“After resting and consulting with my doctors, family, and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue touring. I performed six live shows, but it took a real toll on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio, and I gave everything I had to the people in Brazil. After getting off that stage, exhaustion took over and I realized that I needed to prioritize my health now. So I’m going to take a break from touring. I will be ok, but I need time to rest and heal.”
In November, Justin took the stage again–this time, at tribute to Takeoff at his funeral. The Migos rapper then fatally shot in Houston that month following an altercation outside a bowling alley.

While the video is the first we’ve seen of his face in action, Justin also shared a side-view of his wide smile three days ago while posing with his wife Hailey Bieber.
On February 7, the pop singer shared two selfies on Instagram–one is alone and the other is with friends in a car. In the solo shot, he leans over, takes a fish from a pond and smiles slightly. He has the same facial expression in the group shot.
After reviewing the photos, we should note that it appears that the right side of her smile is not as curved as the left. This could mean that Justin’s improved smile is a recent blessing!
