The vacation season has all the time been a jolly time at JPL. Beginning as early as 1944, we see comical commercials for the yearly GALCIT Christmas Celebration. This version of JPL’s first worker periodical, The GALCIT Ear, known as for nominations for ‘a larger and higher Santa Claus,’ ideally of the ones on Lab ‘who undergo a marked bodily resemblance to the actual factor.’ To this present day, JPL commemorates the vacations with mementos and spirited playing cards from the Director.
