‘SNL’ Pays Tribute To Writer Erin Maroney Fraser, Who Died Aged 53 – Deadline


Saturday Night Live paid tribute tonight to Erin Maroney Fraserwho started as a senior assistant at Lorne Michaels. Frasier died suddenly on March 3 at the age of 53. According to a GoFundMe page set up for his children, he suffered a brain hemorrhage.

Frasier has had various roles in SNLincluding as a staff writer, and also worked for Michaels in various roles including helping to develop Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He has also worked in films including Wayne’s World 2 and Tommy Boy.

Fraser was most recently executive director of the Savannah Regional Film Commission, a role he has held since early January.

He is survived by his three children and wife.

“Erin is a veteran of the entertainment industry and is already making a positive impact here in Savannah. She has such a bright and positive energy that people are drawn to her. She is going to do great things here in Savannah and we are very fortunate to have we’ve been with him,” said Savannah Economic Development Authority president and CEO Trip Tollison. “We are saddened by the loss and offer our condolences to his wife, his three children and his family and friends.”
