Spice Details Near-Death Experience With Sepsis After Breast Implant Surgery
In early November, Spice, who was on a social media hiatus, returned to Instagram to clear up rumors about her health. At that time, there were many blogs, including Suregon Made Curves, claimed the star suffered medical complications from a cosmetic procedure.
In his post, he denied having a heart attack, being dead, or suffering from a coma. Days before, The Shade Room reported Spice’s agent denied unconsciousness claims. However, at the time, Spice only revealed that she was recovering from a “medical scare”—no details.
On Friday, Spice finally all the details have been spilled about what his health has suffered in recent months. In a live-streamed session that lasted more than an hour, the singer said she “literally died” after a severe case of sepsis.
The singer confirmed that she was in the Dominican Republic when her health began to fail–a claim made by Surgeon Made Curves in her first posts about Spice’s health.
Spice revealed that she was in the DR to have her breast implants replaced, which was successfully done. While there, he consulted doctors about fibrosis in his stomach but was told they were leaving.
He remained in the country after the operation but began to experience severe vomiting. When he visited the doctors, the doctors told him that he had a hernia, and that his intestines traveled through the space created by the hernia, and they burst. It caused septic shock in his body.
“Sepsis literally started…eat my skin. I don’t know how to explain it to you, but my skin started to sag. It was starting to attack my lungs and I didn’t know that sepsis was so dangerous.”
He was in a hospital in the Dominican Republic from October to December and underwent several procedures. When he returned to the United States, he underwent another operation, still targeting sepsis. In the end, the singer thanked God for being his guardian throughout the medical scare.
“Just remember to include God because it’s not about me today. Just take me out of the equation. Drag all you want, bash me all you want. Say all the bad about me that you want, I’m okay, I’m good with it because I always tell people that I don’t care what people think about me as long as my heart is right with God, me good.”
Spice now says she just wants to be a testimony that God exists.
Following his explanation, he also released a music video and song about his experience.
