They’ve been together for a long time, but notoriously private Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson just did their thing red carpet debut in December 2022. Since then, Waterhouse has reflected on public relations, admitting in an interview in February The Sunday Times Style that he was “surprised that I’ve been so happy with someone for almost five years.”
The longest the couple has been apart seems to be two months, which is surprising, considering their busy schedules. Waterhouse stars in Amazon Prime Video series “Daisy Jones and The Six,” which premiered on March 3 — and apparently, she even tried to get her “The Batman” boyfriend to help with the audition. “Rob really doesn’t get advice from me about acting, but of course I’ll try get him to help me audition before he falls asleep on the sofa,” she said.
The pair were first linked in 2018, when they were spotted kissing in the streets of London. In 2019, they were seen stepping out together on Waterhouse’s 27th birthday, each Elleand Pattinson first publicly acknowledged the relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times. They spent the pandemic together, and as of 2023, they’re still going strong.

Both Waterhouse and Pattinson are no strangers to high-profile relationships. The former dated Bradley Cooper when he was 38 and she was 21, while Pattinson is with singer FKA Twigs for three years. “I was kind of depressed for a while,” Waterhouse told The Sunday Times of her breakup with Cooper. “It stuck around for a long time. I think it was the break-up and also just being in my twenties and in the f***ing trenches.” The public nature of the relationship made separation difficult. “You’re always reading about how beautiful the new girlfriend is or whatever. It sounds silly, but when you’re actually the heartbroken one, it’s pretty rough,” she added.
Before dating Pattinson, she also dated Prince Harry before he met Meghan Markle. “He came to a party at my house once and was really lovely and really sweet,” she said. “I’ve got uncles and aunts and everybody there.”
Both Waterhouse and Pattinson were conscious of keeping their relationship under wraps, especially since Pattinson was constantly suspicious of the paparazzi. “He thinks people are chasing him even when we’re on the couch. He’s the only one who gets that mentality,” Waterhouse said. The pair are clearly compatible, with similar backgrounds that they laugh about. “We always said I never, ever thought I’d be with a boy from Barnes, and she never thought she’d be with a girl from Chiswick,” she said.
In the end, it’s clear that Waterhouse is too much loved-up her “Twilight” heartthrob. “I always get excited when I see his name [on my phone] or even a text, and I think he feels the same way about me,” she continued. “We’ve always got so much to say, and I find him hilarious.” She said she also sees a family in their future and revealed that she wants to have kids someday, though she admits there’s no time. “You have to be like, ‘I’m going to be sitting for a few hours,’ but it’s going to be worth it,” she said. I can not wait. I want you to click your fingers to do it.”
